Filip Bartos

Filip Bartoš has been studying martial arts since 1993. He started with Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu and since 1997 he’s been regularly participating in seminars of grandmaster Soke Hatsumi Masaaki in Europe. He’s been also regularly visiting Grandmaster Soke Hatsumi Masaaki and other Japanese Shihans in Japan since 2002. Except of Soke Hatsumi, he’s been mostly training with Sensei Ishizuka Tetsuji and Sensei Someya Kenichi, both of the oldest students of grandmaster Soke Hatsumi Masaaki and also the most reputable masters of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. In the spring of 2004, to the occasion of 33rd anniversary of death of former Soke Takamatsu Toshitsugu and also 33rd anniversary of Hatsumi Masaaki becoming the new Soke, there was a special seminar. During this seminar Filip Bartoš succeeded in test for 5th dan – Godan test under Soke Hatsumi Masaaki a he became official teacher of Bujinkan Hombu Dojo.

Filip Bartoš is sought out by students of Koryu Bujutsu all over the world, especially because of his specialization in precise mastering of basic techniques Kihon Waza of every single school of Bujinkan and other Koryu schools, what makes him different from most of the instructors of these martial arts.

His seminars are often visited by students from many countries. Filip Bartoš also helped with opening new Dojo’s in Austria, Poland, Estonia, Iran, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria. In all of these countries he helped beginning students and teachers to open their Dojo’s and to past them his knowledge by intensive training – his way to welcome them to the family of Bujinkan. The most successful have also passed the Godan test a became official teachers of Bujinkan. Except of these countries, Filip Bartoš also made several seminars in the USA, Spain, the UK, Macedonia, Slovenia and Germany, always asked to teach local students as a teacher of Bujinkan.

Filip Bartoš also participated in training of special task groups and not only in the Czech Republic. Members of these groups are also his regular and personal students.

He also regularly arranges seminars with his teachers from all over the world in his Dojo in order to give his students perspective of other teachers. Since the beginning of his studies of martial arts, Filip Bartoš has visited Japan 15x and has been intensively training in his martial arts.

In 2005, Filip Bartoš and his students established a new Dojo called BUJINKAN BOHEMIA DOJO, where he passed them the idea of Bujinkan, Soke Hatsumi and other Japanese Shihan’s.

During the past 20 years, Filip Bartoš except for the above mentioned Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, practiced or practices Meifu Shinkage Ryu shurikenjutsu under Soke Otsuka Yasuyuki, Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu under Mukai Masaharu – 8. dan Hanshi (Dai Nippon Toyama Ryu Battojutsu), Mugai Ryu Iaido (Meisha ha) under Luciano Morgenstern – 7. Dan Menkyo and Niina Toyoaki Gyokudo Soke, Kashima Shinden Jikishinkage Ryu Kenjutsu under Mori Sensei – Menkyo Kaiden, Hozoin Ryu Takada-ha Sojutsu under Maeda Shigenori (Menkyo Kaiden), Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryu Soke Kajiya Takanori, Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu under Soke Sekiguchi Komei, Ryouen Ryu Naginata Jutsu under Soke Shimizu Nobuko, Mizoguchi-ha Itto Ryu, Tennen Rishin Ryu, Iaido (Muso Shinden Ryu) or Naginatado.

Gradually in some of them he reached master licences, teaching licences or permission to lead his own training group.

In this moment he is authorized official teacher of Bujinkan Hombu Dojo, Meifu Shinkage Ryu shurikenjutsu, Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu and Mugai Ryu Iaido and in some other martial arts he has permission to lead Keikokai (training group).

8th January 2012 in Japan on Kagami Biraki (opening ceremony training of New year) in Bujinkan Hombu Dojo was Filip Bartoš awarded by Soke Hatsumi Masaaki and received from him martial art´s name – KŌRYŪ 光龍 (Light Dragon).

And it was the reason why Filip Bartoš 1.1.2014 established and renamed his dojo to KŌRYŪKAI as organization of traditional japanese martial arts.  This organization teachs broad spectrum of various traditional japanese martial arts so that´s why each candidate can choose what is the best for him and what he would like to devote.

Filip Bartos is an official member of the Bujinkan Shidoshi-kai Instructors Association, Mugai Ryu European Federation, Shidokai Society, Saiko in Arab International Martial Arts Federation and Saiko in Arab International Ninjutsu Federation, official representative International Martial Arts Union, official representative International Sciences & Skill of Martial Arts University, official representative The Supreme Education Council of IMAU University and official representative International Sciences, Technology & Skill Union.
