Otsuka Yasuyuki

Sensei Otsuka Yasuyuki is the current representative – Grandmaster (Soke) of this school. Sensei teaches his art in many countries, where he tries to share his knowledges with new students of this school.

Soke Otsuka Yasuyuki was born on 12th July 1959 in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo.
He graduated lawyer for Japanese University, where he graduated in 1982.

His father studied Okinawan karate and therefore in his youth he also learned this art.
In high school he focused mainly on Kendo which later proved to be very useful in practice of Shuriken jutsu. Especially the footwork of Kendo was very helpful. Before that when he was a little boy and before when he started going to school was his biggest hobby throwing stones. So that´s why is throwing his natural movement.

When he studied secondary school he practiced alone, without a teacher, throwingo f shurikens.
In 1980, when he was a student at the university, found a book of Someya Sensei “Shuriken Jutsu Nyumon” in the bookstore.

His book described Shuriken jutsu almost in the same way as he practiced throwing shurikens alone.
He was very surprised and began to admire Someya Sensei. In 1985 he finally became his student.
After a very zealous, hard and successful years of training he became in 1991 Shihan of this school.
Someya Sensei taught him during his advanced age personally until 1995.

Later school activities were handed over to the most advanced students – Shihans of the school. At this time was several Shihans who taught art Meifu Shinkage Ryu in Someya Sensei school.

But unfortunately when in 1999 Someya Sensei died all other Shihans with training ended and leaving only Otsuka Sensei as the only active teacher.
Therefore at this time he decided to once again raise the school Meifu Shinkage Ryu.

 Created a website, wrote a book and made ​​a DVD. He opened several Keikokais and fortunately his effort was successful.
Then also he got permission from the family Someya Sensei and became the official successor of Someya Sensei.
In 2009 with the permission of the family Someya Sensei began declared himself as Soke Meifu Shinkage Ryu.
Today, the school center is in Chiba Prefecture 千叶 in Ichikawa 市 川 where Otsuka Sensei passed the art of these techniques to new generation of students.

In 2010 he taught for the first time beyond Japan.

Since 2011 he every year visits his students in the Czech Republic.

In 2013 he also visited for the first time Czech Origami organization because origami is his great passion.
